13 Ways of Looking at a Blackbird, Autotrofia, The Coast | Berlinale Meets… | February 2021

Co-founder of Forum Expanded Anselm Franke met with Ana Vaz, Anton Vidokle and Sohrab Hura, directors of “13 Ways Looking at a Blackbird”, “Autotrofia” and “The Coast”. Screening in the 2021 Forum Expanded programme.

About the films:
13 Ways Looking at a Blackbird: The film is a song you can see.

Autotrofia: An ancient Italian fertility ritual is juxtaposed with the ecological ideas of Russian Cosmism: What if humans could learn from green plants and subsist on the energy of the sun alone?

The Coast: In the dark of the night during religious festivities in a village in South India, the physical coastline becomes a metaphor for a ruptured piece of skin barely holding together a volatile state of being ready to explode.
