On Conversation with Robert Kirkman on a Zombie Apocalypse
In a little more than ten years Robert Kirkman has gone from cult figure in the indie comics scene to superstar of the horror fantasy nerd-dom. The latter status achieved of course as author of The Walking Dead, the cable TV phenom that has been posting network-worthy numbers and changing the genre series landscape for good. As we found out during his recent visit with the HFPA, the 36-year old Kentucky native also happens to be a remarkably down-to-earth and likable fellow, only too happy to satisfy everyone’s morbid curiosity about his creations and talk about just about anything – including his deepest fears.
