Mockingjay Preview: Natalie Dormer, Julianne Moore, Elizabeth Banks

The HFPA recently traveled to London for that small intimate affair known as the world-premiere of The Hunger Games – Mockingjay, Part 1. The latest installment of The Hunger Games series picks up the action in District 13, the resistance stronghold where Katniss and Gale are holed up with the rebels as hostilities escalate with the despotic regime of president Coriolanus Snow. Here we find old acquaintances like ex-games mastermind Plutarch Heavansbee (Philip Seymour Hoffman), Katniss’ old coach Haymitch Abernathy (Woody Harrelson) and her irrepressible style advisor Effie Trinket (Elizabeth Banks) as well as new characters like rebel leader president Alma Coin (Golden Globe winner and seven-time nominee, Julianne Moore) and chief propagandist Cressida (Natalie Dormer). We spoke to the latter three actresses about the experience and the deeper significance of the Games juggernaut.
