We have another live recording for you! “Stories from Igloolik: Indigenous Voices in Cinema” was a deep-dive with Canadian Inuk filmmaker Zacharias Kunuk, whose “Uiksaringitara” (Wrong Husband) screened in this year’s festival in Generation 14plus. Covering his background and craft, the rise of Indigenous Cinema within and beyond Canada, his work at Isuma Productions, the first independent Inuit-led production house that he co-founded, and the importance of language and representation in cinema, it was an intricate and insightful conversation with moderator Marjorie Bendeck.
